What made you want to become a jewellery designer?

I wanted to use both my design and engineering skills in a creative environment

Which designers inspire your work?

There is no one designer in particular that inspires my work. I gain inspiration from a variety of sources.

Is the process of making jewellery hard?

Yes if you don’t have the correct technical training but not is you have received a good grounding in real fine jewellery making skills such as diamond-mounting and stone setting.

Do you ever get annoyed with the metal or the tiny diamonds when they don’t cooperate?

Sometimes.

What has been your favourite piece you have made so far?

Every piece I have made has something in it that makes it my favourite but my most favourite pieces are those which have won awards.

Do you have a set style throughout your works?

No because I work to individually commissioned pieces which are often influenced by what the client would like included in the design.

How do you know a piece has been well designed?

When it is beautiful, well-made and well-designed and is really wearable.

What jewellery designs are you working on at present?

A variety of fine jewellery pieces.
